VILLIGER MIAMI LAGUITO NO. 1 (7 1/2 x 38)
WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN CONNECTICUT DESFLORADO
BINDER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
FILLER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Earth, fruit, dark earth, and leather lead the tour as spice drifts in a few puffs later. Smooth and easy draw with an abundant smoke output. Welcome to Miami.
A bit of tame sweet perfume and strawberries and cream join the guides above. That’s different.
Earth and creamy fruit flows through the retrohale. That creamy fruit leans a bit towards strawberries and cream. Healthy, right?
The finish holds on to some wood and leather, teetering now and then towards harsh.
That sweet perfume begins to take the lead, and I’m not sure that I’m sold on it. I had Godiva chocolates once that had perfume tastes, and I definitely wasn’t sold on those. Chocolate and perfume. Hard pass.
Speaking of which, a tiny sample of milk chocolate comes through, and wood, earth, and leather help to fill the gaps. Strawberries and cream become faint.
Earth and smooth leather wrap around each other and exit the nostrils.
Leather, spice, and wood coat the finish. Fruit hangs in there too but quite subtly, and the harshness begins to slowly fade out. Be gone with you, Satan. Trying to exorcise the harshness from the finish a bit. Not completely sure how that works. I’m sans holy water out here in the shed.
Sweetened earth and black pepper spice bring the count down here towards the end. Rockin’ the duet now.
The retrohale joins the duet theme with earth and coffee. Both fairly mild in their offerings.
Coffee grounds, leather, and spice opt for a trio on the finish. The impromptu exorcism seemed to do the trick. The harshness has been cast out. I'll thank myself later.
The burn never required any assistance from me, which I always appreciate. Cool.
SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 22 mins.
RATING: 3 / 4 - Not today, Satan.
