VILLIGER LA VENCEDORA TORPEDO BOX-PRESSED (6 x 52)

WRAPPER: NICARAGUA

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

Spice and earth coast smoothly on a magic carpet of caramel. Most people seem to lean towards Steppenwolf’s “Born to Be Wild”, but I always preferred “Magic Carpet Ride”. Spice lingers on the finish. Light coffee sinks into the palate. Dark earth, leather, and coffee move through the retrohale.

Wood, spice, and chocolate flow through my nostrils as La Vencedora hangs out.

The draw is perfection. Ample smoke output.

Coffee becomes a bit darker and takes the lead. Oak sneaks in from time to time, resting on the underbelly. The burn requires a bit of assistance to keep it on the straight and narrow.

La Vencedora put in a fair performance. A magic carpet ride? Born to be wild? Steppenwolf probably had more songs than that. Anyway.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 34 mins.

RATING: 2.5 / 4 - Born to be okay.
