VILLIGER CUÉLLAR KREME ROBUSTO (5 x 48)
WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN CONNECTICUT
BINDER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
FILLER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
A firm handshake with wood, earth, cream, and spice introduces the Kreme. All pour from an effortless draw, followed by an excellent smoke output. Subtle sweet wood flows out the nose, and spice and nutty leather hold onto the finish. Spice builds its intensity as I wait for the next draw.
Spice, wood, and sweetness rise pleasantly from the foot smoke. The burn line works independently. Nice.
Moving along, cream, earth, and mixed nuts move together in harmony. Harmony. Getting a little artsy here today. Spice, mixed nuts, and even a bit of ginger find their spots on the finish.
Ash holds on well and breaks off fairly cleanly. Kreme proves to be low-maintenance company so far. I dig that.
Smooth cola sweetness peeks in at the end of the draw as earth, cream, and mixed nuts continue on their path. Spice adds some kick as I allow the smoke to dance around my palate before exhaling.
Earth and cream make for a good combination on the retrohale. Spice and smooth coffee join forces on the finish. Join forces? I’ve been watching too many superhero shows lately. In related news, the new Doctor Strange movie is different. No spoiler alert.
I could write more here, but, frankly, Kreme performed consistently across the board. It also happened to avoid taking up a bunch of my time, which I appreciate and gladly pay forward to you.
SMOKE TIME: 1 hr.
