STOLEN THRONE CROOK OF THE CROWN 5TH ANNIVERSARY CORONA (6 x 46)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS MADURO

BINDER: INDONESIA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

Notes of subtle chocolate and dried fruit follow after the first few puffs of earth, smooth leather, and spice.

Chocolate, leather, subtle spice, and wood flow from the foot, which emits a generous stream of smoke.

Deep in the palate, spice and chocolate mingle while cream hangs on the outer edge.

Clean earth pushes forward, leaving a clear path for chocolate and wood to dance through the retrohale.

Smoke fills the shed on the exhale from a superb draw.

Solid ash holds snug to a near flawless burn line.

Sweet tobacco starts to hit at the end of the draw as spice softens. Bits of beef jerky play around. None of that over-flavored jazz, just the good old-fashioned stuff. By old-fashioned, I’m talking 1990s jerky. Reminds me of that shredded beef jerky I used to get as a kid.

The 5th reminds me of a solid guitarist. Clean and rock solid. You don’t even have to think about it.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 35 mins.

RATING: 3.5 / 4 - Clean and rock solid.
