SANCHO PANZA EXTRA CHIDO | CIGAR REVIEW

JUNE 1, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

SANCHO PANZA EXTRA CHIDO ROBUSTO (5 x 50)

WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN SUMATRA

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Extra Chido brings earth, spice, and muted oak to start things off. Easy draw with a thick smoke output. Earth dominates the retrohale, but spice lingers in the nostrils, clearing the sinuses a bit. Spice hangs heavy on the finish. Earth hangs back a touch, and sweetness hangs back even further.

Sweet oak, spice, and a touch of milk chocolate dance off the foot. Currently, smelling the foot smoke is more interesting than actually smoking this cigar.

The burn works on its own, which is appreciated.

A huge burst of milk chocolate jumps from the foot, and I’m back in the conversation.

The draw has reduced itself to a lazy earth and an even lazier spice. Part-timers in the back of the store huffing Reddi Wip.

During the last half, I feel like I’m smoking a glass of water. I double-check with a sip of water. Yep, I’m smoking water. Meanwhile, oak and spice from the foot keep me entertained, and they don’t appear to be huffing Reddi Wip.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 24 mins.

RATING: 2 / 4 - PSA: Don’t huff Reddi Wip.
