PUNCH DRAGON FIRE | CIGAR REVIEW

MARCH 2, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

PUNCH DRAGON FIRE (5 x 60)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: NICARAGUA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, HONDURAS

Dragon Fire kicks in with some spice. Not burning any cities down, just warming up. Some light earth helps smooth out the edges, and a very light cedar melts into those soft edges. Clean earth through the nose; spice clings to the nostrils. Leather, earth, and a tingle of spice on the finish.

Touches of mustard and mayonnaise find their way around. I didn’t just eat a spoonful of either, but there they are.

Dragon Fire draws smoothly and produces a sufficient smoke output, and the burn hasn’t caused any issues.

Dark chocolate tiptoes around with some milk chocolate on its shoulder. Tartness splits through the middle in feel moreso than an actual note. Light spice hangs around, which one might expect from a cigar named Dragon Fire.

Smoke output builds in volume and density. Creaminess builds slowly through to the end. Nice.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 51 mins.

RATING: 3 / 4 - There they are.
