NOVEMBER 20, 2022 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

PLASENCIA SMALL BATCH COROJO TORO BOX-PRESSED (6 3/16 x 52)

WRAPPER: NICARAGUAN COROJO

BINDER: HONDURAS

FILLER: NICARAGUA

First steps of woody sweetness, spice, and faint milk chocolate coast smoothly. Sweetness drips through the nose but not without a touch of coffee. A sweet and spicy finish.

That extra 3/16 of an inch might make all the difference. That’s what she said.

Draws easy, and the smoke output fills the room in short order. Burns independently.

Down the road a bit, smooth leather and earth join a more subdued sweetness, and they tend to mask the milk chocolate ever so slightly. Speaking of masks, don’t forget that wearing a mask while you’re driving alone in your car will prevent you from infecting yourself. It’s science.

Cola sweetness drops in later, and there’s some blackberry through the nose. The finish darkens up with leather and coffee, complemented by subtle spice.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 52 mins.

RATING: 3 / 4 - It’s science.
