MAYFLOWER DUSK | CIGAR REVIEW

OCTOBER 13, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

MAYFLOWER DUSK TORO (6 1/2 x 52)

WRAPPER: ECUADORIAN HABANO

BINDER: SUMATRA

FILLER: NICARAGUA

Dusk’s wide open draw hits with spice, wood, and milk chocolate. Smoke output would fill the shed in a few minutes, but I’m outside.

Chocolate, wood, and a suggestion of spice flows through the nose. Coffee, chocolate, and spice linger on the finish with a very thin edge of leather. The finish moves out the of way well before the next puff, leaving somewhat of a clean feeling. Not Crest clean, but clean enough for a cigar.

Wood, chocolate, and suede flow from the foot and hang in the air. Pleasant.

Mixed nuts and a subtle floral note join the conversation. Dark chocolate and leather take over the finish.

Except for spice, everything hangs out to the end but a little quieter than before. Quieter is fine.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 40 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - Quieter is fine.
