MACANUDO EMISSARY ESPAÑA ROBUSTO (5 x 52)

WRAPPER: CONNECTICUT BROADLEAF CLARO

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: SPAIN, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, NICARAGUA, COLOMBIA

Emissary introduces itself with a perfect draw, pulling cocoa butter, spice (a slightly dry jalapeño), and clean earth. Good balance. Smoke output matches the draw.

Dark coffee with a dash, a very small dash, of dark chocolate drop through the retrohale. A less dark coffee and an equally very small dash of milk chocolate hang on the finish. A finish which settles into a bit of a tart feel on the palate.

Spice completely fades away within a handful of pulls. We hardly knew ye.

Got a big ol’ wave on the burn line at the halfway point. A little patience and some strategic smoke rolls™ corrected it. Solid ash.

Dark chocolate pretty much takes over and creaminess begins to build. No complaints about that.

Emissary smoked at a dang near perfect pace. No complaints there either.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 10 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - We knew ye just the right amount of time.
