LOS STATOS DELUXE LIMITED EDITION | CIGAR REVIEW

MAY 5, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

LOS STATOS DELUXE LIMITED EDITION FIGURADO (5 1/2 x 50)

WRAPPER: MEXICAN SAN ANDRÉS

BINDER: ECUADORIAN SUMATRA

FILLER: CONNECTICUT BROADLEAF, PENNSYLVANIA BROADLEAF, NICARAGUAN COROJO 98

Deluxe’s smooth draw brings in sweetness, mild coffee, and a slight touch of cocoa right outta the gate. An old but well-maintained barn flows from the foot. Cocoa peeks out from behind dark earth on the retrohale. The finish holds on to light spice, sweet woodiness, and more of that cocoa, which tends to hold everything together from draw to finish.

Smoke pours out through the exhale. My air purifier kicked up a notch as I typed that.

Things begin to tamp down quickly, but spice and light creamy mocha move through the mix and take over. Subtle.

Deluxe burns straight and requires no assistance from me. I always appreciate that.

Sitting comfortably right at medium, smooth coffee and touches of spice and sweetness finish up the Deluxe experience. I dig it.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 32 mins.

RATING: 3 / 4 - Smooth and easy.
