HOYO DE MONTERREY ROJO TORO (6 x 52)

WRAPPER: HONDURAN JAMASTRAN

BINDER: NICARAGUA

FILLER: HONDURAS, NICARAGUA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Spice solely dominates through a handful of puffs, but soon just becomes the lead to Red Hots and very tame caramel and bread. Earth, spice, and steak spice flow through the nose. The finish sits a bit blandly with a bit of cherry and some leftover, and possibly past their prime, grilling spices.

The draw and smoke output are excellent.

The Talking Heads’ “Road to Nowhere” pops in my head. Not sure if it’s just random or if there’s a deeper meaning. We’ll find out together.

Everyone starts to take their seats just past the halfway mark, performers included. Bland City.

The burn requires a hefty touch-up, followed by another less hefty one later down the road. Speaking of road, it appears that song popping into my head might’ve had a deeper meaning today.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 28 mins.

RATING: 2.5 / 4 - Bland City
