CAO FASA SOL | CIGAR REVIEW

JUNE 13, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

CAO FASA SOL TORO (6 x 50)

WRAPPER: HONDURAN OLANCHO SAN AGUSTIN

BINDER: CAMEROON

FILLER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, NICARAGUA

Sol allows oak, maple, and earth to sneak through before spice overwhelms everything. Coffee hides within spice on the finish. The retrohale holds a nice balance of earth, light coffee, and spice.

Smooth draw and an ample smoke output provide an easygoing experience.

Spice drops out. Dark earth and coffee take the lead; maple hangs out on the edges.

Dandelion and maple syrup begin to drift through the retrohale. Some people pay a good chunk of change to spray their yards to get rid of dandelions. I’m not one of those people. It’s not so much a dandelion fan thing as it is an “I don’t like to waste my money” thing.

Smoke rolls™ put in a hefty leg day, and my lighter fluid reserve was a bit depleted keeping Sol on track.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 40 mins.

RATING: 2.75 / 4 - A hefty leg day.
