BANDOLERO CLANDESTINOS | CIGAR REVIEW

MAY 19, 2024 - PHIL KURUT, COMEDY - CIGARS - MUSIC

BANDOLERO CLANDESTINOS SOBERBIOS (5 1/2 x 50)

WRAPPER: ECUADOR

BINDER: UNDISCLOSED

FILLER: UNDISCLOSED, PERUVIAN LIGERO

Clandestinos offers an impeccable clean, smooth draw. Earth, bread, and a touch of spice are equally smooth and clean. Through the nose, there's earth and freshly baked bread that one might detect a few blocks away from the bakery. Spice, mild coffee, and some dark chocolate hang around on the finish, which, once again, is clean and smooth. Nice start to the ride.

Solid ash holds on well to a near perfect burn line.

A layer of maple syrup begins flowing through the draw and lingers on the finish. Excellent.

Aged oak, smooth leather, and maple syrup drift from the foot. Hang that on your rearview mirror and enjoy. That being said, I’ve never been one to hang air fresheners on my rearview mirror, but I’m also not into pine trees. I suppose I could make an exception for an aged oak, smooth leather, and maple syrup air freshener as long as it isn’t in the shape of a pine tree. Maybe just a circle.

Air fresheners aside, Clandestinos performs consistently and is an enjoyable smoke.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 24 mins.

RATING: 3.25 / 4 - Consistent and enjoyable.

I love every cigar from this company ie; bandelero, Atebey, Alphonso, Byron and Byron 1850. I bought an Alphonso lancero in Florida last month in ybor city when I was down there for big smoke/whiskeyfest. Can’t wait to smoke it soon, as I’m writing this I’m smoking a casa fuente and it’s phenomenal. I want to smoke every single cigar from this brand but most of it are priced extremely high.
