ALEC BRADLEY CHUNK MADURO XL (4 x 60)

WRAPPER: MEXICO

BINDER: HONDURAS

FILLER: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, NICARAGUA

Chunk produces tons of smoke after a nice, flowing draw. Wood and spice take up the spotlight, while creamy milk chocolate handles duties backstage.

Leather and coffee grounds hang on the finish, fighting for position. Hints of cedar flow through a rather clean retrohale.

The burn goes awry fairly early, and I have to employ my lighter to keep things moving along. Smoke rolls™ didn’t cut it.

I’m an 80s kid, so any time I hear “Chunk”, I think of The Goonies, and then I think of Sloth’s most memorable line, “Hey, you guys!”

The burn continues to struggle, and I have to expend a bit more lighter fluid a few times.

Solid ash.

Chocolate and spice fade out. Wood, earth, and very subtle dark cherry share some of the stage, move in and out of the spotlight, and take a bow as the curtain closes. I can hear a volunteer stagehand whisper-yelling at them to hurry up so he can go home.

SMOKE TIME: 1 hr. 37 mins.

RATING: 2.75 / 4 - Hey, you guys!
